Lebanese Blonde Hash Balls are an imported gem straight from one of the “motherlands” of hash. Due to regional conflict, rising tensions and government intervention, the quality and amount of hash coming from Lebanon has slowly diminished, making it a rarer commodity each day. Hash balls are a traditional form of hashish or hash that have been cultivated for hundreds of years in the Bekaa Valley, a region known as an agricultural hot-spot for its’ fertile lands. In this valley is where many Middle Eastern landrace strains grow wild, offering themselves as some of the finest specimens to be processed into hash balls. The landrace strains grown in the Bekaa Valley tend to develop stronger attributes such as abnormal trichome production due to the sometimes frigid and harsh environments. Cultivators work for days laboriously collecting THC trichomes and separating them from un-wanted plant matter before meticulously hand-rolling them into perfect hash balls. Lebanese hash balls differ from others in the surrounding region due to their ancient curing and drying methods – their techniques involve dry-aging the hash balls to the perfect humidity, bringing out the robust flavours of the Lebanese landrance strains and as much smoothness as possible. The flavours of Lebanese Blonde Hash Balls are attributed to its’ concentration of a unique monoterpene dubbed hashishene – this unique terpene was discovered by researchers in 2014 and describes the unique aroma and flavour profile of traditional Middle Eastern hash. Lebanese Blonde Hash Balls contains earthier base notes of oud or wood, kush and a peppery spiciness with undertones of sweet, almost vanilla-like creaminess.
